6.2/10

I had a comfortable stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel, with spacious rooms and friendly staff. The location was excellent for exploring Stirling, which was a major plus. However, I noticed that some areas of the hotel seemed a bit outdated, and the dining experience could have benefited from quicker service.

Rooms
8.0
My room was a spacious Double with a huge comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, and a lovely Prosecco waiting for me. Everything was clean and comfortable, although some furnishings felt dated.
Service
8.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive during my stay, making check-in a breeze. They also provided good service during dinner, although the restaurant could be faster.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated just a short walk from major attractions like Stirling Castle, along with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the food was quite good, especially the seared sea bass. However, service could be improved as it was a bit slow. Breakfast was excellent, diverse, and satisfied my dietary needs.
Facilities
7.0
The leisure facilities, including the pool and sauna, were nice overall but not as modern as I had expected. The changed amenities could use some updates.

7.2/10

My stay at Stirling Highland Hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to attractions, including the magnificent Stirling Castle. However, I found my room to be a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, which really enhanced my experience, but the dining left much to be desired, especially in terms of quality.

Rooms
6.0
My room had lovely views, but it felt a bit worn and dusty in places. The kettle was particularly unpleasant upon arrival, which I reported, and they were quick to offer a replacement. Still, it affected the initial impression.
Service
8.0
The staff were truly fantastic. They were polite and attentive throughout my stay, making sure I felt welcomed and taken care of, which significantly enhanced my experience despite the room issues.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal, within walking distance to Stirling's attractions and the town center. I enjoyed the convenience of easily accessing restaurants and the lovely courtyard for drinks.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, the food quality during my dining experiences did not meet my expectations. Both the lunch and dinner options were underwhelming, with bland flavors and some undercooked elements at breakfast.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers various leisure facilities that I didn't utilize during my stay, but it was nice to know they were available. Though I did notice the dining areas could benefit from a little more charm.

I had a mixed experience at Stirling Highland Hotel. While the location is fantastic and made exploring Stirling easy, the service was often lacking, particularly in the restaurant. The room was comfortable, but I encountered issues with cleanliness that detracted from my stay. Overall, it was a decent visit, but I wouldn't rush back.

Rooms
6.0
The room was comfortable and spacious, but I found broken glass on the bedside table and in the carpet upon arrival. It needed more attention to cleanliness.
Service

While the front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and efficient, the service in the restaurant was quite poor, with long waits for food and inattentive staff.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of Stirling, making it easy to walk to attractions like the castle and the charming old town.
Dining
5.0
I was disappointed with the dining experience. The food lacked flavor and freshness, particularly at breakfast, which was unappetizing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has some nice features, like ample public spaces and pet-friendly policies, but the overall upkeep seemed lacking.

7.0/10

I had a mixed experience at the Stirling Highland Hotel. While the location was fantastic, right near the castle and town center, the room felt outdated and had several maintenance issues. Not to mention, the dining options were limited due to renovations, which was disappointing given the positive expectations I had from reviews. Overall, there were some great features, but the shortcomings left me wanting more.

Service

Check-in was efficient and staff were friendly during my stay, but communication regarding unavailable amenities was poor. I wasn't informed about the restaurant's refurbishment or the jacuzzi being out of service until I arrived at those places. It felt frustrating, especially when I brought it up at check-out.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal, with everything I wanted to see within walking distance, including Stirling Castle and the high street. It was convenient to explore the area, especially with lovely paths leading to local attractions.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, the dining experience was underwhelming. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment, and the only menu available at the bar was quite basic. I had hoped for greater variety, and it was disappointing to miss out on the dinner I had expectations for.
Facilities
6.0
The leisure facilities were a highlight, with a nice swimming pool, although my experience was marred by the jacuzzi being unavailable. I appreciated the effort for cleanliness and health protocols in common areas, but overall too many amenities were disappointing.

I stayed at Stirling Highland Hotel for two nights, celebrating my husband's birthday. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the castle and old town, but I found several aspects of my experience disappointing. The breakfast options were limited and service was slow, even though I enjoyed the dinner. Overall, there were highs and lows during my stay.

Rooms

My room was spacious with a good-sized bathroom, but it could use some updates (certain details felt dated).
Service

Although the staff were welcoming and friendly, the service at the restaurant was notably slow (which was frustrating).
